The second episode of my son’s history podcast is up... and I'm his guest. We’re talking about the intersection of comics and World War II. Listen if you dare.
Right under the monthly promise wire we return with our Suicide Squad review! Join in as Ian Levenstein, Brent Kossina, the LEGENDARY JAMAL IGLE, and Brandon Christopher review the film. The last time these three were together, Brandon heel-turned on Brent over Man of Steel! Will it be the same this time? Find out in this episode! Also included is some DC Rebirth talk, and discussion on the future DC Movie trailers released from Comic-Con.

Okay so here's is what's going down. I was finishing editing the final on-camera clip for Episode 49 of the Random Trade Review (where I gave my overall thoughts on Legends) When suddenly, Pinnacle (my video editing program) ceased to recognize my video.
Eventually, I decided to restart the video from scratch. However, whenever I tried to import the video clips again, the same problem kept cropping up. I went to the Pinnacle help forums (they don't have a tech support line or anything like that) and posted the problem. There, I was told to reset my library by deleting the file.
This resulted in my entire library of Video, Audio, and Picture files being deleted (including the screenshots of my Digital copy of Legends). Afterwards, I re-opened Pinnacle and tried importing some files; Audio files and Picture files imported fine, but whenever I tried to import a video file, the file would fail to be recognized.
The above video contains a demonstration of this.
Now, I can do some (and I mean SOME) video editing in my screen capture program; Camtasia. But, I won't be able to get screenshots from the copy of Legends I have. Instead, that would have to be done in Pinnacle (which because they're video files means I can't). I also, will not be able to do anything like the picture overlays I sometimes use in my on-camera segments.
This means that in all likelihood Episode 49 of the Random Trade Review will be done much in the manner you're seeing now (with me doing voice-over on various images & no on-camera segments) unless I can somehow fix this. Now, I have thought about upgrading to the latest version of Pinnacle (which just came out), but it will cost about $90 ($90 that I don't really have).
Also, before any of you start shouting about Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas; I just don't see that happening. Sony Vegas costs about $400 and while I have some experience with Premiere, I wouldn't call it spectacular.
I'm going to try to get Episode 49 Redux (as I'm calling it) out sometime in the next few days (depending on how this plays out). Then again, if any of you are tired of looking at my ugly mug, maybe this format will be permanent....See you all then, & thanks for your consideration.

Three episodes in one month!? BTW, enjoyed the Under the Red Hood episode.
Thanks, @bralinator! Yeah, did our best to make up for no July episode. Now to get things set up in the new place so I can successfully record one for September.
It took two and a half days, but I managed to complete Episode 49 of the Random Trade Review. Unfortunately, I think my video editing software is pretty much dead.
After a quick recap of breakfast at the Baltimore Farmers Market, I spend most of this episode talking about the comics I bought and panels I went to on Sunday at the 2016 Baltimore Comic Con

We're back, baby! After a month off to recharge and move home base, Comic Timing returns with a doozy. It's all the interviews I conducted at the 2016 New York Comic Con, which took place October 6th through the 9th! Here's the full list of participants, some new and some returned customers:
Thanks once again to everyone who stopped and talked all weekend long, whether it be on the mic or just to catch up. You guys and gals are the best! Onward to 2017's New York Comic Con.
Comic Timing - Episode 183: Comfort, Kris, Conventions, Actors and Adam
Episode 183 is now available for your ear holes! This is the last piece that was recorded during New York Comic Con weekend, only not at the con itself. Back at the old apartment, Ian sat down with Kris, Comfort Love and Adam Withers to discuss the growing trend of actors and actresses demanding more money from conventions in order to attend a show. How will this in turn affect attendees, artists and writers at the con, and how the show itself is run? What is the ceiling for how much people are willing to pay to hit a convention, and will it take a show saying, "No way," to an actor to make that ceiling happen?
The group also delve into Comfort and Adam's history attending shows as independent creators, and a few of the difficulties they faced getting their feet in the door as indie superhero creators, and Kris and Ian briefly get into Flame Con, what made it work so well, and why it is immediately one of the better small cons around. It's a laid back, flowing conversation, and I hope you guys dig it as much as we all did recording it! For more on DashCon, follow this here link; in return, you get an extra hour in the ball pit. And Adi Fitri IS Malaysian!
In the first of two stories the survival of the team depends on Starfire and Raven after they accidentally switch bodies, and in the second Robin grudgingly becomes Slade's apprentice
