It's not too bad. Have to watch for spoilers so nothing gets ruined. My biggest problem is forcing myself to pace my reading so that I don't burn through everything in a few days.

Some brief comments on the ones that I've read...

Hypernaturals #1 this isnt something i would normally be in to but they made me curious with the FCBD issue.

Earth 2 #2 only 2 issues in but i think it is off to a good start. Better than the first two issues of justice league an i stuck that out.

G.I. Combat: I would really like the newUnknown Soldier to be as good as I remember the original being.

Action comics: I originally passed on this because I don't like Morrison but my local record store had the first 7 issues cheap so I picked them up just to support a record store selling comics. They were good though...

Dial H: I wanna see where this is going. Each issue is definately packed.

    Batman: digging it.

    Batgirl: digging it, even more.

Nightwing: digging it off and on but more on than not. Issue 10 was good comics.

Green Lantern: curious about the upcoming teasers. They gonna cap Hal's ass and replace him with another new GL. It may have been done before but I'd still read that shit!

Star trek/doctor who: boy the dialog is spot on in this and the are isn't too shabby either.

Aquaman: not digging the current arc but still like the title. So I'm treating it like one bad episode on a series I like.

Justice league: wasn't blown away by the first arc but the series is getting continually better. I really like the billy Batson back-up.

Winter soldier: wanted to like this gave it 5 issues, was bored. Even with gorillas and machine guns I was bored.

Saga: sooooooo good! Fiona Staples can emote the hell out of some facial expressions.

Defenders: plot threads from the old immortal iron fist thread keep me hanging onto this title.

Manhattan projects: downloaded the first 3 issues. But a pain in the ass to read on the iPhone. Might pick up a trade.

I can't recommend this enough. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go for the trade.

All the new Before Watchmen up to date, Betrayal of the Planet of the Apes TPB, the Last Incorruptable TPB, and most importantly...

    Chew Secret Agent Poyo #1!!!!

At least that's what's on my list...stupid FedEx doesn't like to leave my comics outside my apartment (even though UPS does, and no one ever bothers them), so it takes an extra 1-2 days to reroute it to my nearest Kinko's...ugh.

Never mind...that's my waiting to be shipped list. Chew, Star Trek TNG, Resident Alien #2, and Walking Dead #99 (even though I downloaded it as soon as it came out...couldn't wait),

but no Secret Agent Poyo yet!
    I miss my super-spy chicken :(

I read through everything except about five or six books in two days. The kids weren't home and the wife had mandatory overtime all weekend. I painted some Necrons for 40K, played some Diablo, WoW and SWToR, watched some Greatest America Hero and TJ Hooker and still read through almost every book I had gotten for June. It's going to be a long month until that next box gets here.

I got my box on Friday. I believe this is what it contained:

    DC:
    ANIMAL MAN #10
DEMON KNIGHTS #10 - I'm dropping this book. I enjoy it, but the pacing is too slow to enjoy in monthly installments for me.
    DIAL H #2
EARTH TWO #2 - I'm dropping this one, too. Not what I wanted from it.
    FRANKENSTEIN: AGENT OF S.H.A.D.E. #10
    GREEN LANTERN #10
    GREEN LANTERN CORPS #10
    GREEN LANTERN: NEW GUARDIANS #10
    WONDER WOMAN #10
WORLDS FINEST #2 - Another I'm dropping. Better than Earth 2, but I realized... I'm not really a Huntress or Power Girl fan.

    Marvel:
    CAPTAIN AMERICA #13
    CAPTAIN AMERICA AND HAWKEYE #632
CAPTAIN AMERICA AND IRON MAN #633 - Marvel's double-shipping crap with the Captain America and Fill-In-the-Blank title meant that I'm had to order, like, five or six of these after Brubaker left before I could even read the first under the new writer. And, guess what? I don't like them at all. But, I've still got one or two coming down the pike. Thanks, Marvel.
    WINTER SOLDIER #6
    WINTER SOLDIER #7

15 comics, but this was actually the biggest box I've ever gotten from DCBS.

    Why?

Because, on top of those, I also got these:

The Hammer Films Christopher Lee as Dracula 8" bust
    image

The Hammer Films Peter Cushing as Van Helsing 8" bust
    image

I first ordered the Dracula a couple of years ago... and it never actually got produced. Then, last October, I think, they solicited it again, along with Van Helsing and Countess Dracula. I skipped Countess Dracula, but I had to have Dracula and Van Helsing.

When I was a kid, my father and I used to watch Saturday afternoon horror films on local stations, and the Hammer films were always in heavy rotation. These busts will be great reminders of that. I wish my father were still alive to see them. I think he'd find them pretty cool.

The new batch of Hammer releases have been VERY good. Start with The Resident, which features your boy Christopher Lee, and go from there.

I never order much from DCBS anymore (still like it and all, but I've mostly transferred back to the LCS since I found a good one), so my box is pretty light this month:

    SIMPSONS SUPER SPECTACULAR #15

    BATWOMAN HC VOL 01 HYDROLOGY

RICHIE RICH TP VOL 01 WELCOME TO RICH RESCUE (replacing the damaged/misprinted copy I received last month... it's service like this that keeps me a DCBS customer even if I'm not a regular anymore.)

DEMON KNIGHTS #10 - I'm dropping this book. I enjoy it, but the pacing is too slow to enjoy in monthly installments for me.
I dropped this for the same reason. Well, that and the fact that I realized I had been reading it month after month but could never remember half the cast's names. Hoping reading it in chunks will revitalize my interest.

My two cents on some what I've read.

Prophecy #1 - I only picked this up because of the discount DCBS had on it. For what is supposed to be Dynamite's big crossover, this delivered nothing.

Justice League #10 - Apparently Wonder Woman's skeletal remains on the cover has enough bosom to fill the costume.

New Avengers & Avengers #27 - Can we please get some editorial notes as to when these tie in issues to AvX take place?

Transformers - Seriously, if you're a Transformers fan and you are not reading these, you have go to give what IDW is doing here a try.

I'm the artist for Double Jumpers. The elevator pitch could be summed up as Programmers get stuck in a Virtual Reality game as their characters AI personalities get switched into their bodies, in the vein of Weird Science or Vice-Versa. Programmers have to survive the game and try to find a way out, as their AI counterparts run through the "magical land" (to them) of Las Vegas while the biggest Video Game convention in America is happening. Hijinks Ensue. It also get's a little dirty. And the art is awesome. (wink-wink)
    Hope that helps.

The Art Of John Avon: Journeys To Somewhere Else

I'm probably most excited about the John Avon book. When I first got into MTG, I immediately fell in love with the artwork of Mr. Avon. So much so that I created a five-color John Avon theme deck. Of course, it didn't work at all because that's what happens when one throws random cards together with the only theme being an artist. But that's just the kind of nerd I am.
Slight digression; using Annex to take control of John Avon lands will never lose it's charm for me.
