I'm going to ask what may be a controversial question and probably reveal my deep ignorance so please forgive me in advance. Most of my experience with web comics (which is pretty limited) seems to indicate that they have their roots in the newspaper strip subset of comics. How do modern web strips differ from digital comics like what Mark Waid is doing on Thrillbent or perhaps the (failed) experiment of "motion comics". Go! But be merciful! *ducks head and cringes*
