Comics Alliance is no more, so sayeth CBR's Robot 6.

Too bad. I didn't always agree with the angles they'd take on their coverage, and I think a few of their writers had a tendency to mistake snark for commentary, but there were a number of talented people there, a lot of the content and recurring features were quite good, and there was more about the site that I liked than disliked so I'm sorry to see it go.

Same here. CA was a decent sight, always looked forward to the weekly art and cosplay roundups.

Not only is AOL still around,but I know a bunch of people that still use it. Mostly they are older people that first got online using AOL and have never switched to another ISP.

I used AOL back before they called themselves AOL -- and a couple of times since, primarily for their Internet access. But their service seemed to get antiquated and insulated quite quickly and I left them in the dust for the greater for the greater reaches of the Internet. I honestly thought they had gone under years ago after the dissolution of AOL-TimeWarner.

AOL also makes a LOT of money off sites like The Huffington Post.
