  Hm...I wonder if it will be in newspapers or not. And if so, will it take the place of Doonesbury again, since that strip has been in reruns for a couple of years now.

  Favorite character(s): Portnoy and Hodge-Podge - the ultra-conservative rabbit and hedgehog duo. Also honorable mention for Steve Dallas...who better be making a comeback in this series.
  
  Favorite moment: Oliver Wendell Jones and his father. "Son, you may have darn well destroyed Western civilization. Frankly, I find the whole thing inexcusable."

  They are those websites where a bunch bloggers tell people about the day's events I think. It's like 100 tweets on a single subject.

  And this one has stuck with me (and now some of the details of this resonate in a different way)--
  
  The end of the storyline where Tom Binkley has a crisis because he doesn't like Jesse Jackson, but he thinks that means he's racist. And it takes Oliver's father to give him permission to just go ahead and dislike him. And, of course, the punchline now lands a very different way all these years later--

  I loved Bloom County but in all honesty I have never revisited it since the 80's. I'm curious if I will enjoy it as much or if I revised it would it hold up? Reading the above strips I think I will. Let's hope new stuff is as sharp.

  Stars rearrange themselves to read, "repent Oliver".
  Oliver says,"bloody difficult being agnostic these days".

  Oliver is coloring a self portrait on the floor and asks for flesh color.
  Wait a beat
  "I'll trade you for a burnt auburn".

  One of my favorite Bloom County was when the put on the "US" festival
  
  To this day when The Police's "Every BreathYou Take" I can't help but think of Opus's version and I laugh.
