I knew you'd say that - but you know that already.... :D
btw: just recently re-watched PRIMER - that movie still holds up. While PRIMER is more nerdy - LOOPER will have way more action for sure. Loving all kinds of time/dimensional/far-out tales B-)

IMDB says they filmed Primer for $7,000.00 most of which went to buy film stock and since they couldn't waste any film they shot 80 minutes of footage and the movie is 78 minutes long. that is amazing! I'm gonna try to find this over the weekend.
I am also looking forward to it. Joseph Gordon Levitt has got to star in one good movie this summer. Although I admit, I haven't seen the bike messenger movie. That could be awesome.
This was easily my favorite movie of the year, at this point. It was magnificent. I love how Rian does soo many different artistic homages in his films. Makes me giddy.
And that JGL guy is dreamy, even with the Willis squint.
Ok, I gotta say holy shit was I dissapointed with this movie. It looked so good and I wanted to see it so bad. Finally saw it tonight though VOD. Thoroughly let down and cannot understand what everyone is praising. It started well enough and had some good ideas and moments, but damn it just fell flat for me by the end. What was the point of this movie? I didnt get it and I though the whole thing felt very pretentious.
I was disappointed, too. The whole TK angle felt extraneous to me, kinda like it was an idea for a different movie that never really came to fruition so it got grafted onto this one instead, and as a result it sort of took the place of the whole "new memories overwriting the old" aspect of the story, which I thought was really interesting. I think the time travel / hunting yourself plot was enough to sustain the film on its own, especially with Willis being able to stay a step ahead of JGL because the second the latter does something, the former can remember doing it. That's clever. Kid Carrie, on the other hand, just fell flat for me.

Wow, really? I had the complete opposite reaction. In fact, Looper was one of my favorite movies of 2012.

That movie definitely belongs on that list.
