I am in australia and i am using comixology on a iphone. When i go to purchase a comic it comes up with an error "in app purchases are not allowed". Is this me having no idea what i am doing or something else.

Depending on Apple's exchange rate for the itunes store you might want to check out buying direct from the comixology website. For UK users I can save about 15-20% on the price of the book this way.

in australia the prices are the same USA ie $1AUS=$1US, using an exhange rate you may save a few cents but get you will get hit with the currency exchange fee by the bank.

the main reason i want to use apple/itunes is quite alot of the time itune's gift cards are on special in australia. ie 2x$20 gift cards where on sale for $30.
