It amazes me the prices some companies want to charge for shipping. I saw some commercial on tv,where they were selling a dvd through mail order. And they wanted 8 bucks for shipping. I have mailed many many dvds and know it cost at the most $3 to mail one.

If you get 5 $3 books, which have a total cover price of $75 for $15, paying $10 for shipping isn't so bad.

Yah - those are great books. Three Fingers is kind of like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the Rated R version (the 3 fingers belong to the Mickey Mouse character). And the King is a great look at the legend of Elvis. Those 2 books are currently selling on Amazon.com for a total of $35!

I already own the entire catalogue of TopShelf - I love love their books. And I paid regular price (shipping costs to Europe are too crazy - getting it free of shipping and tax from Amazon)

I seems like a lot, but the very minimum media mail costs is $3 plus box, packaging, etc. It's really not THAT far off, plus when you but like 100 books it's pretty heavy. Plus that encourages buyers to buy more and not just 1 or two books. I bought $65 worth of books yesterday with a total retail value of $225, so I'm not complaining!

I did a little checking into it and saw that the $10 was a flat fee, which is great if you're ordering many things but not as much if you're only getting a few, but I did end up getting off my high horse and placing an order because getting Three Fingers, The King, Gingerbread Girl, and Lower Regions for $19.95 is like getting 4 books for the price of 1, so okay, yeah, I'm not made of stone over here.
