IDW is putting out some impressive high end collectors edition hardcovers for TMNT followed by Transformers.

I think these are cool things to put out, sort of like Artist's Editions. Probably not going to be a whole lot of takers except for the Shelf Porn lovers, but still awesome stuff.

I don't have the cash to waste on the blue label items anyway but it sounds like they'll be tough to get. I guess the 10 copies of the TMNT book sold out immediately. I bet the 25 black label books went nearly as fast.

If they come out with something I'm really interested in I might go for the red label edition.

Watching the video shows how nice these books are.

Isn't it amazing that publishing has gotten to the point where something like this is not just possible but profitable?

..."shelf porn"...probably true. I really like the turtles, though. In the future will they have some thing you can sign up for an advance notice to get in on the uber rare offerings?

@Toby - Not sure. I definitely want to get the Transformers run of these, so I made sure to sign up for IDW's newsletter and got on their forums to boot.
