Just read my first 2000AD in over 20 years off the back of this post and if the wow refers to what I think it does (trying to avoid spoilers) I can see why you're impressed. It loses some of its impact for me having not read the previous issues but I might just have to read more.

If I'm honest, I read Dredd (twice) and didn't get any big revelations at all. Then I read the rest of the prog and it all became clear. And it was very well done
Amazing prog. It was so clever that I didn't realised what had happened until my 2nd read through. It was just so far outside my usual expectation that I didn't put it together (it was very late at night though).
