It's not just Comixology anymore. I think this is could be a good thing. Nothing against Comixology at all, but I often get Amazon / iTunes gift cards, and this could feed my comic habit!

68 issues currently available. I think I'll try one of the few 99 cent ones. Most are cover price, even if they're months old. Four of the new 52 #1 issues are 99 cents, as are the digital only ones.

On my Kindle Fire it appears in the book section. It's panel by panel feature is different from Comixology's and rotating the device 90 degrees to landscape does not allow me to view the pages (double page spread) nor panels in landscape. I don't see a setting that changes that, but I might not have investigated that enough.

So since it's in the book section, I would assume that if there's DRM for books that I buy then there'd be DRM for this too.

Except when you download it to your device. Well, it still exists in the cloud at that point, but you have a copy on your device then so that you can read it while off network.

I imagine the previews solicitation would start something like this:

Aren't they already doing that sort of thing with the reprints of digital material?

Looking at some titles on Amazon and found that some titles are only available for Kindle Fire / Kindle Fire HD / Kindle for Android. Yet other titles also are available for Kindle for iPad and Kindle Cloud Reader.

And then I saw Green Arrow #14 that states it's only for Fire/Fire HD/Android, yet above the title I see "Start reading Green Arrow (2011- ) #14 on your Kindle for Mac instantly, no Kindle device required."

Confusing.

I'm looking at Single Issue Comics for Kindle and I see 69 titles and nothing that indicates any one of them is for a certain device/computer or another. They all just say "Kindle Edition". Are you looking at something else?

OK, I see what you're seeing now.

When I go to my account page and choose to look at my Kindle library, for the single issue DC comic I purchased a couple days ago, I hover over "Actions" and choose "Deliver to my...". Delivering to "Kindle for PC" is grayed out, but "Kindle" is available for it to be delivered to, even though it currently is on my Kindle. There's also a link to "Download and transfer via USB". Not sure how letting you know this could possibly help with confusion though.

On another note, I just saw loaning capabilities:
