Edit: I swear I looked for a G.I. Joe movie thread and didn't see one. However, there is apparently another Movie News thread that posts trailers and such. Well, apologies to @tazmaniak for stealing his thunder (regardless, this film looks so fun I think it's worth its own thread).

'Member this movie? Was slated for summer 2012 release and then pulled so they could apparently fix Channing Tatum's catch phrase(s). Anyway, enjoy new trailer and discuss. I suppose Spoilers in Effect!

Okay, so I finally saw it. Overall, it's enjoyable; good Friday night popcorn flick. Sure it had it's problems, but I know 9 year-old me would have thought it was the best movie I will ever see. I haven't seen the cartoon in a looong time and I bought a bunch of the original Marvel/Hama trades at a comiXology sale, but I think that it kind of captured what made the Joes so fun for me. It was what the first film should have been IMO. Anyone else catch it? Plan to see it? What did you think?

I saw it sitting in the red box this morning. I may have to give it watch this weekend.

Watched it on vod tonight. 1000X better than the first. Watchable and enjoyable as a mindless popcorn pg13 level shoot'em up. I only cringed a couple of times (unlike the first one).

I thought it was pretty good. One thing the first movie had that this one didn't: Rachel Nichol's Scarlett.

I loved seeing the vehicles! I don't remember all of the names, but I had several of their toys growing up. Also, Cobra Commander looked like Cobra Commander (although I was a little disappointed he didn't quite sound like the cartoon CC)!

Watched it awhile ago. It was pretty good. That ninja nutshot takes it for the best moment in this one.

Full disclosure: I enjoyed Retaliation. It was a fun popcorn movie. Imagine though if they could make a Joe film like Winter Soldier!
