tarzan artist edition

My wife bought me a Tarzan artist edition (kubert) book for Christmas. But now she wants me to keep it sealed so it wont loose value. Is there any truth to this, I want to look at it! I collect and read my comics but I am rather new to the hobby. It seems a shame to get a book and not read it. any thoughts kevin

All I can say is that the value you'll get from looking at Joe Kubert’s work at full size is greater than any extra money you might make reselling a sealed copy of the book down the line. As you said, it would be a shame to get a book—especially one of that quality—and not read it.

I say rip that sucker open and bask in the glory of some awesome comic book storytelling!

Make your wife buy you another copy and then you can open one and save the other.

Books are made to be read. What's the point of buying an art book you can't look at?
