If you are looking for a new podcast explore this week check out Comics Tribune! We have a pretty loose format that we'll be adding new wrinkles to from time to time (we are certainly open to ideas). All 3 of us have different histories with comics so it makes for some good discussion.

    We are back for round 2 and this time we've added a ratings system as well as a new Quick Hits section. Derick runs us through Green Lantern Sector 2814 Volume 1, Mars Attacks Classics Volume 1, and Superman Earth One Volume 2. Andrew then quickly tells us about Voltron Volume 1, Transhuman, and Red Mass for Mars. After that we have our group discussion on Matt Kindt's Revolver. Dave tells us how he felt about Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle. Derick tells us about author Jason's Full Moon. Lastly Andrew and Derick talk about their thoughts on Nexus Omnibus Volume 1. Then Andrew quickly takes us through X-Force, PunisherMax: Kingpin, and Breed Vol 1. Derick tells us about The Legends of Zita, Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files Vol 1, and Parker: The Hunter. Then all 3 dig into Secret Wars and why none of the three would recommend it. Dave tells us what he thought of House of M.   • First off I apologize for the 1 day delay in getting this posted but just know that you benefit from it because we didn't add any extra content with the extra delay.

    In this pod we have the first off our quarterly spotlight episodes. This one focuses on the X-Men. To start Derick tells a little about the early run of the X-Men. We then discuss the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past. After that Derick and Andrew banter back and forth a bit on Grant Morrison's New X-Men run. Dave then tells you what he would recommend in Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run. Lastly Derick Xplains (get it) why he barely recommends the X-Statix omnibus from Peter Milligan and Mike Allred.   • Comics Tribune Episode 7 - Booster Gold, Butcher Baker, AvX, Madman

    We discuss a little bit of news to open this episode then dive right in on some quick hits. Andrew gives us a blast from the past by talking about Zero Hour and a couple of Ambush Bug specials and then jumps ahead a number of year to tell us about Assassin's Creed: The Fall. Derick tells us how he felt about Adventures of Superman: Gil Kane, talks about a fanzine with Alter Ego 1. Then he runs down what he thought about DC's New52 releases in February. The group then talks about Dan Jurgen's original Booster Gold run. To finish out Andrew tells us why he loved Butcher Baker, Dave complains about Avengers vs. X-Men and Derick discuss what was great about Mike Allred's property Madman. Then Derick quickly tells us about Hawkeye Vol 1, Mars Attacks Vol 1, and the March New 52 books. After the group discusses Daredevil: Born Again, Dave tells us why Supergod didn't really do it for him, Andrew tells you why the first volume of Concrete is a must read, and we wrap up with Derick talking about John Byrne's classic run on Fantastic Four.
