Busy College Student Needs Comic Help

Hello, the title says it all. I am pretty busy with school and work and need to know how to handle getting my comic life together. I was thinking about limiting myself to only about 8-10 titles. I am locked into Cap, Batman, Nightwing, and Morning Glories. I was hoping to also keep an Avengers title in there. Now I turn to you to help me fill in the gaps. I have also been reading Amazing Spider-Man since I started in comics around One More Day (don't hold that against me) and would like to keep that going, but I have no clue what is going on with that book. Thank you, also any busy/college comic tips would help.

You can't beat Saga. For my money that is the best monthly comic going right now.

Hawkeye is the best three bucks you can spend at Marvel.

Both are completely self-contained, and completely satisfying month after month.

I was planning on getting Hawkeye in trade, but Saga intrigues me, what is that about

Comixology has the first issue of Saga for free. They've also got a bunch of stuff that may be worth checking out digitally first.

I've been collecting ASM for some time, regardless of what they've done with the characters, and it's been a lot of fun. The series has moved along to Superior Spider-Man and there's been a lot of positive and negative buzz around the first issue that shipped last week.

I'm not sure how you get your books, but one of the sponsors of the show is DCBS. It's a company in Indiana where you can order your monthly comics for 35-40% off (and sometimes up to 75% off!) cover price. I find I get a lot more bang for my buck there being able to purchase more for the same amount I would spend at my LCS. If you've never used DCBS, use the comic code CGS8 (?) when you check out for an additional percentage off (8%?). Only works on your first purchase though. Good luck!

Thanks for the Spidey help,I'm not happy about this, but I guess I will continue and yes I have been hooked on DCBS for a while. And I will look up Saga.

Daredevil is definitely a good title, and at only $2.99!

If I could only afford just five Marvel titles a month (and in reality I shouldn't be buying more than that, but I can't stop)... Daredevil would definitely be one of them.
Along with All New X-Men, Fantastic Four, Hawkeye and Avengers.

I could change it if you like
  • Fables,Batman Beyond Unlimited,Earth 2 and Chew are my picks. BBU is a 4 buck book but so worth it and I don't say that much.

Saga, earth 2 and manhattan projects are all quality books and self contained. Can't go wrong with any of those three.

All New X-Men by Bendis and Immonen is a four buck a month book, and it has double-shipped it's first three months (I think it goes monthly for awhile after that). But it is also a fantastic book. Best of the X-line right now, and it makes you feel like you are getting all the X-Men you need in one story.
