‘Ninja Turtles’ Reboot Might Start Shooting This April
(inquisitr.com) Depending on your thoughts about the project, reports that Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles reboot is slated to start shooting this April is either good or bad news.
Director Jonathan Liebesman will spearhead the project, which is scheduled to begin filming in New York this spring. According to Coming Soon, producers hope to have the flick finished and ready to go by May 16, 2014. This means the turtles will wage a box office war with Gareth Edwards’ version of Godzilla. It should make for an interesting weekend at the movies.
Despite backlash against a leaked script, a name change, and Michael Bay’s involvement, the project seems to be moving forward. Bay addressed the controversy surrounding the shortened title last year.
Bay explained:
“Paramount marketing changed the name. They made the title simple. The characters you all remember are exactly the same, and yes they still act like teenagers. Everything you remember, why you liked the characters, is in the movie. This script is being developed by two very smart writers, with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles. They care VERY MUCH about making this film for the fans. Everyone on this team cares about the fans. Just give them a chance.”
News of the film’s scheduled start date arrived online via Production Weekly’s Twitter account. However, Bay himself has yet to weigh in on the announcement. In other words, don’t accept this post as gospel until something has been officially confirmed.
“Principle photography on TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, is scheduled to begin this April in New York,” the publication tweeted.
It’s unclear who is slated to star in the revamped version of Ninja Turtles. All that’s certain at the moment is that die-hard fans of the characters will be watching this project like a hawk

The two are now back on good terms, as she has been cast as April O’Neil.

Something I don't find Megan Fox to really be, but that's more of a personal preference.
