Gore Verbinski To Direct Graphic Novel Adaptation Pyongyang
(darkhorizons.com) "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Rango" director Gore Verbinski is set to both produce and direct a film adaptation of Guy Delisle's graphic novel "Pyongyang: A Journey in North Korea" at New Regency.
The darkly comedic story deals with outsourcing run amok when a young animator, sent to North Korea to supervise production of an animated film, is accused of espionage.
Steve Conrad ("The Pursuit of Happyness," "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty") will adapt the script.
