Susco Pens "Harbinger" Comic Adaptation
Valiant Entertainment Group has hired Stephen Susco to pen the script for an adaptation of the comicbook series "Harbinger".
Harbingers are humans with powers that can be unlocked by "omega" harbingers. Teenager Pete Stanchek finds himself on a collision course with an older "omega" who used his gifts to become an evil industrialist.
Brett Ratner will help develop the project with an eye to direct. Ratner and Susco were both attached to the project back when it was previously setup at Paramount Pictures back in 2008.
Underlying rights issues stalled the project, and now Valiant is developing it independently. Alexandra Milchan and Dinesh Shamdasani will produce.

The really cool part of this news is that Valiant is apparently going to produce these movies in-house, rather than farm them out. It worked well for Marvel, hopefully Valiant can do the same.
