‘Dredd 2′ Not Happening, Could Live On As Short Films
Dredd 3D producer Adi Shankar has announced that there’s no possibility of a sequel. The only hope we have may come in a series of short films.
According to Shankar, it’s because the movie totally bombed & R-rated movies are a tough sell to begin with. Overall, the film struggled to find an audience on the big screen.
Shankar also dded:
“If Dredd becomes a cult hit it will be awesome. Last September was a terrible month… Dredd bombed and then Looper became a massive hit a week later!”
But we might be able to see the character again in an unbranded fan film. But that’s a big maybe. In the mean time, you can also catch Dredd on DVD and Blu-Ray, which is out now.

It was a really good movie but I'm not surprised that there won't be a sequel.
