Monthly Sketch Thread - April - Heroes as Animals

In honour of Action Comics #18, where Superman hallucinates that he is a Lion, I thought it would be good to start a thread with Heroes as Animals as the theme.

So to start things off, here is a copy of Superman as a Lion from Action Comics #243, in the Showcase Vol 1 collection.

Maybe more of the obvious choice for a character to draw.

@DarkGuyver that is AMAZING! I love the design and I would love to see that character in a comic. He'd be awesome to follow in a series.

Thanks guys! When I started out drawing this I was questioning how batman would modify his gadgets and gear to suit his new form. That's why I went with less armor so he would be faster and lighter in the air. And I took away the cowl/helmet in favor of multi-vision goggles because, as they say, "Blind as a bat" yet I imagine he would have enhanced hearing. The thing protruding from his back is a batarang launcher for when he's flying and needs to lay the air-to-surface smackdown on some thugs.
