Boston Comic Con will go on as planned this weekend

Pretty psyched for this year's Boston Comic Con. Hell of a guest list this year - George Perez, Amanda Connor, Mike Mignola, Carlos Pacheco, Bill Willingham, Mark Bagley and a whole slew of other people. I was able to go for the first time last year and was impressed how big it had gotten in a relatively short span of time.

Anyone else gonna be there?

The Boston Comic Con organizers say the show will go on as planned, but they're taking to social media to ask cosplayers to refrain from bringing prop weapons. I'd go a step further and say people should maybe avoid costumes that will make them look bloody and severely wounded... might be a bit much for some folks to handle, and it would definitely be in questionable taste, especially since the Hynes Convention Center is right down the street from the site of the bombings.

Probably safe to say you can expect to get your bags searched as you go in, too.

Glad to see it's still going, though. It might feel a little weird and almost certainly a bit more sombre than it would've otherwise, but as the oft-memed British WW2 poster says, keep calm and carry on, you know? Boston's a tough town.
