The poll wasn't open on the website/forum but my answer would be twice a year is good. Unless it is something that is my absolute favorite thing in the world I usually don't need more than 1-2 per year, which usually equates to about how many monthly issues would have released in the same timeframe. At around 80 pages and $10, I'd buy two per year without much problem.

Since I read most of my comics in trade form. I usually buy 2 trades a year. I see it like a tv show. Each trade is half of a season so two trades makes up an entire season of a show. I also do it that way so I never really get caught up. Like with Walking Dead and Fables,by the time I started reading both series they had been around for a few years. So by buying only 2 trades a year I will never get caught up until the series have ended.
