Am I the only one that thinks Chew is brilliant? I know it can
be gross and the concept is off the wall, but it is one of the
most original stories I have ever heard of.

Anyone else think Chew is great and if so why?

Also if you hate Chew, why?

nice mix of "adventure of the day" and universe-wide plot progress to keep me interested.

I love this series. I read it in trade and I'm always reading it as soon as I get a new volume from dcbs. everytime I see beets, I think of chew.

I just requested through inter library loan the first 2 trades. Been hearing lots of good things about this series. And the premise intrigues me.

It's one of my favorites. Been reading it since the first issue. First two trades are really great.

It's funny- I really dug the first trade, and was even enthusiastic enough about it to lend it to some family and friends- and yet the 2nd and 3rd trades have continued to sit on the to-read shelf. Not sure why (other than having too big of a to-read shelf). I am guessing when I do get back to it I will dig it, though. And I am glad it is continuing to have an audience.

CHEW also is being translated into German and a huge success over here. Last year the book got even covered by some major news outlets - in relation to a real life food scandal. The book got publicly recommended to the German Minister of Consumer Protection Mrs.Ilse Aigner :D

I read CHEW since end of 2009 - first single, now in trade. LOVE IT!

I just bought Volume 2 on Comicxoligy. It is awesome so far, also love how Image has the trades digitally cheaper so I can read it at discount. That way I can by the paper back for my self if I life it.
