Well, that sucks. This was one of the better books of the New52. While nothing is specifically said, this smells of more difficulties with, and interference from, the people at the top.
And here I was expecting that, with the positive buzz around Earth-2 so far, they would be doing more Robinson books. But, nope. Another writer of stature out the door.
Geez. A line from the ifanboy thing is kinda telling... "He had made the book his own and was clearly playing a long game, taking his time to build a deep and interesting world not influenced by any other books at DC"
Interesting that he basically got to play with DC Comics type of super heroes... but not have to deal with all the stuff going on in the other books. Maybe they are gonna try to do a multiverse type crossover and he just wasn't down with the idea.
What was the purpose of the New52 again? I originally thought it was meant to get rid of the multiverse and simplify things, but now... I really don't know what the purpose was.
It took Robinson up to issue 16 before he left. It only took me 4 issues to leave. I did not care for the new 52 versions of the characters. That is not to say I think he is a bad writer. The story was just not for me. I can see this title crashing hard and fast without him.

This was one of only three DC titles I was getting. Hopefully who ever they get to replace Robinson will do a good job or it down to two titles.
This is disappointing, as I've really been enjoying Earth 2.
Looks like they're clearing house of writers with actual ideas to make way for yet another big, bland crossover.
From the way Levitz' comments on the cancellation of Legion were phrased, I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's leaving World's Finest as well.

I'm not familiar with any of his work that I know of. I want to keep reading Earth 2 but to me, that's a big world to take over from James Robinson.
