Another wait-and-see for me. I thought the 'bwa-ha-ha' period had long since seen its day. Still, I would like to see Giffen and Maguire reunited again, and there's a big hole in my list just now...
It is tempting. I like the creative team. For me it depends on how Wonder Woman is portrayed. If it is more like her current Justice League version, then no way. If it is closer to how she is characterized currently in her own title, then it will be a buy.
I read the first four issue and then gave up. I don't like any of the characters in this. The exception being Hal and I thought about that exact same question.
I'm assuming its Hal they need for his will and personality rather then for the ring. They give him the cloak as a replacement for the ring.
So it seems in a 1000 years time there is no lantern core left at all, we don't find out why or how, but hence no rings. Instead, The Wonder Twins, who also 'cloned' everyone, have developed this power cloak that basically recreates the powers of the ring.
Although I'm not quite sure how they've managed to recreate Flash's (Barry) powers actually. Because here how the twins clone... They somehow take living people who have volunteered the body to basically be used as a husk for a JL member. They basically over right all DNA of the host with Batmans for example. So you or me could actually become Batman (fancy the @Matt;) ) or Flash or whoever in the future!!!
Plot holes galor I think, they'll probably explain more going forward but I won't be on to find out.
Seems like most here aren't digging it, but the interview with Brian Miller made me want to try it, maybe I'll wait to see if it's in cheap bins at the next con. Howard Porter art makes any book readable in my opinion.
I really tried to give it a solid chance, and I have pre-ordered up to issue six, but this is one I'm dropping.
Usually, I can come up with at least one thing I really like about a book if I make it this far into it, a sort of "justification" for keeping it beyond a three-issue chance... but this was all based on the creative team, hoping it would get better, and it just didn't. If I'm honest with myself, there is nothing I really like about the book and I knew it was unlikely to change even after reading the first issue.

Probably not.
Maybe.
If so, I have a question.
How did they clone -- excuse me -- genetically template Green Lantern? Hal Jordan's just a guy, the Ring has the power.

What does the cloak do?

cloninggenetic templating?Just make an army of Cloakers.
Parental murder, years of training and unlimited wealth are genetically transferable?
Who knew?
Science, y'all!
