Strangers in Paradise in glorious color (colour)!!!

Terry's magnum opus, Strangers in Paradise, is getting the color treatment.
Terry posted a sneak peek on his tumblr. page.

He's reprinting a special color edition of the first issue to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

I suspect he's testing the waters to see if there's a demand for the entire series to be printed in this format.

The soft cover omnibus is going to be released in a couple months so it may take a while for the demand to justify another edition (even if it is in color). If he waits a year or two, it might be an easy sell.
Of course, the comic book buyer is unpredictable at best so who knows how the market works.

I adore SiP in B&W. Feel no urge to get it in color.
But it's a good thing if it makes more people read SiP.

I echoed those sentiments when I first heard Bone was going to be colorized. Then I saw how Hamaker's colors accentuated Smith's artwork, and I ended up buying that series again. Considering I own SiP in softcover, hardcover, digest, and a complete run of the floppies including the Antarctic Press issues, I'd be willing to forgo a b/w run in favor of a color one.

Never say never, but part of the appeal of SiP is, to me, Moore's ability to use B&W so damn effectively. I don't see myself picking this up, but I'm not against him doing it if, as John Steed says, it'll bring more people to read and love this series. I wonder if Hi-Fi will be doing the coloring job like they did on his covers?

Gotta agree with @torchsong. Part of the appeal to me of SiP is the b/w artwork. But if the coloring is as well done as Bone was I will give it a try.
