Apparently, some jerk is claiming to be the "inventor" of padcasting, which doesn't make any sense at all since "podcasting" is just a word that came to mean "episodes of an audio show over the internet". I mean, there have been episodes of shows since what? The early 1900's?
Anyway, previously, said jerks were suing people like Apple. Now, they have moved on to suing podcasters directly, namely Adam Carolla's show as it is one of the most popular on the internet as well as a couple others. Mainly the big ones that make a lot of money, but this affects, or effects, all the little guys too. The podcasting world needs to come together on this topic and if I'm posting this in the wrong place, please tell me. But Adam had a lawyer on his show today from
Electronic Frontier Foundation and it was very interesting.
Something everyone should consider if you're a fan of this, or any show.
