Old Comic - Trying to remember name of team

I remember back in the mid 1980's of a team of superheros that I read about that I am trying to remember the name of. The issue is I don't remember who made them.
The basis of the comic was a bunch of kids that was changing with powers. All I remember was one team member had powers like The Thing/Hulk and was male. Another member was female and had superpowers of Friction Manipulation. She has wall climbing power and could make an area slippery. I don't remember how she made the area slippery. Another male member had elastisity ability. Ther was other kids in the team but I don't remember their powers at all.
If I remember right the publisher was a start up then.
Anybody know of a team like that?
