For the 50th Anniversary celebration, IDW launched a new ongoing series led by writer Andy Diggle, and the new Doctor Who: Prisoners of Time, an extended maxi-series that spotlights all eleven Doctors. Additionally, IDW brought forth the first-ever Doctor Who crossover in any medium, the 2012 Star Trek: The Next Generation/ Doctor Who event series Assimilation2. The BBC Worldwide/IDW partnership will conclude following the end of these 50th anniversary celebrations in December."

This is too bad. The books have been a real mixed bag, but when they've been good they've been a hell of a lot of fun, and exactly what you want from a Doctor Who comic (or any licensed book, really): something that that has the general look and feel of the show but does the sorts of things you'd never actually see on the show.
I should probably get off my ass and finally pick up that trade of The Forgotten then, too, huh?
