I'm sure he'll do fine I guess but I always thought Rocket was portrayed as Australian or with a heavy rasp or something.

This is not an offensive choice, the 'rocket Raccoon in my head is not bradley cooper. Either way it is an okay decision.

That's funny I always thought of him as more of a streetwise New Yorker, fast talking with a bit of cynicism thrown in.

I was secretly hoping it would be Tom Wait's voice, but the clip makes me feel good.

I'm getting very excited about GotG. It's shaping up to be a great romp.

I always thought of him having a British accent.

I'll be interested to hear what Cooper does with it. At the end of the day it's Rocket's over the top actions, his friendship with Groot, and his one liners that make the character.

I can't hear it in my head. Not like Vin Diesel as Groot. But I don't think there'll be any Change.org petitions for his removal.

I'm a bit bemused by this because I have absolutely no idea who Bradley Cooper is. I did a quick peek on Google and I see that he's been in a bunch of movies and TV shows that I've never seen -- thankfully, in a few cases (ie, the Hangover trilogy). Guess I'll have to wait and see.

The Hangover II was so bad, I can't even bring myself to add the third installment to my Netflix queue.

He was great in Silver Linings Playbook and The Place Beyond the Pines.

I'd add the A-Team movie. He did a great job as Face. The first Hangover movie is worth a watch. Same with Limitless.

I've been keen in all the casting for this film but I'm still struggling a little to get the vibe of it lined up in my head.

Unlike Diesel I don't think of Cooper as having a particular character, but then I've not seen his most infamous performances in the Hangover films.

In my movie it's Steve Buscemi doing the voice of the Racoon.
But pretty boy Cooper is a good second choice. <:-P

Frankly, I keep hearing Rob Paulson's voice everytime I think of Rocket Raccoon.

Kind of an odd choice. I'm sure they're happy to have another Oscar-nominated actor doing a Marvel film, but I've never thought of his voice having enough personality to do character work like that. Plus, I can imagine lots of different voices for RR, but none of them sound like Bradley Cooper. For me, the humor would be in hearing a tough guy voice, or the other extreme, a refined British accent, coming out of his mouth.
