Just heard from Glen Murakami himself—no decisions have been made as to the cancellation or renewal of Beware the Batman yet.

The show is completely lifeless IMO.

I would like a young justice style animation with the beware the batman story, the animation is the only thing that throws me off
  • I haven't actually seen any episodes (don't recall them airing yet here in Canada), but the animation really isn't to my taste, so I'd likely stay away from it on that score anyways.

I really miss Young Justice though, it was an awesome series. My nostalgia for the series might be enough to make me buy the new Young Justice video game next month.

Going cgi was their first and maybe biggest misstep with this show from the start.
  • Maybe no official decision has been made concerning the show's continuation or cancellation, but Cartoon Network is saying that there are no plans to air any more episodes: comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=48704

In a way, this is ironic, considering that Young Justice and Green Lantern were pulled in order to push this show and the new Titans show, but, on the other hand, it shows a reluctance on CN's part to carry or support DC's shows. Can this be an evil portent for future DC animation on CN?

I am not sure that it shows anything about the future of DC animation outside of Beware of Batman. The suits were getting a new take on Batman and they thought they were getting a hit or at least something they could use for a few years like every other Batman cartoon so they moved heaven and earth for it. It turned out to be a dud.

Maybe it had run its course but they also stopped production on Brave and the Bold to get ready for Beware. A true cartoon injustice.

Interesting decision to cancel the show since the next few movies of the DCAU (JL:War excluded) are all Batman based. Wonderful if WB Studios is going to make a move to sign on with another network.
  • I've watched maybe two episodes, and I really dislike the animation on this one. That being said, I don't care what Batman show is on as long as it's Batman.
