Have to say, I liked the pilot quite a bit. It's different from the comic, not as fantasy-driven, but I don't have any problem with the changes they made. They kept the overall tone and quirkiness, which is the main thing. And the Allred art in the opening credits doesn't hurt either.
I liked McIver and Kohli. And the other actors were just fine given that their characters were a little two-dimensional. Hopefully they'll get a little more to work with as the series goes along.
With no more Agent Carter, iZombie has jumped to the top of my comic-related TV watching.
I'll say here what I said at the comic shop yesterday when someone asked what I thought, "I liked it, but I'll know how much I really liked it when I see episode two. If that makes any sense."
I feel like, once I get a better handle on characters, direction, plot....just get the VIBE well in hand, I'll know more about if I like it or not.
I had to wait a day to view it online, and I have to say it was a hard sell where I'm concerned, since I really don't like zombies or zombie stories. (The one exception was the black & white Zombie series written by Steve Gerber back in the 70's, because... Steve Gerber.) But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good hook - a zombie who doesn't want to be or behave like a zombie and is struggling to come to terms with her new unlife. I'll give it a go for awhile and see how it develops, but I think it's promising.
We watched it last night and thought it was quite good. My wife really adored the main character, Liv Moore. We might have been predisposed to like iZombie because we are also big Veronica Mars fans. We will continue to watch future episodes.
Is it just me or is the main character more attractive as a zombie?
Nope. I said it at the LCS the day after the season premiere.
It's the bad wig.
I just watched the first 2 episodes. Didn't love the first one, didn't hate the second one. I'll stick out the season since its short and I loved Veronica Mars.
Well, we're officially 5 episodes in and nobody is really talking about it since the premier. (I don't just mean here)
I'm enjoying it for sure, but not as much as the Flash and Arrow. And I WOULD be talking about it here myself but I'm not familiar with the source material enough to delve too far into it other than whats on the screen each Tuesday.
I still think Zombie Liv is hot as all get out. I like this new roomie dynamic with her boss and her ex. IDK
Anyone else watching it? Anyone heard of the numbers for viewership? How is the show doing in the market?
How are you guys liking it? Both as a show and as comic fans?
I've been watching. It's ok. Still a little too procedurally for me and the mysteries-of-the-week have been pretty dumb so far. But the character interactions are fun, and they toned down Babineau from the pilot which says to me that they can see when something isn't working. It's a short season so I'll stick with it for now, but as it currently stands, if it were cancelled at the end of the season I probably wouldn't even notice.
I've been meaning to watch it, but I've just been too busy, and I keep forgetting when it comes on. So I've only seen the pilot so far—which I also forgot to tune in to, and had to watch online. I'll catch up eventually.
I also need to catch up on it -- my current job makes it impossible for me to view it first run, and I need an evening to watch the episodes I've missed online.
I've been watching it on HULU+. The best description I've heard so far is that it's Veronica Mars with brains. In fact, if it wasn't for the zombie element, this show could very well be called "Veronica Mars", and that's a good thing.

Do you mean the organ or intelligence? Because I only agree with one of those.
Just wanted to give some love to the season finale. I've enjoyed the entire season, but the last 3 or 4 episodes have been especially good. Glad it will be back for season 2.
Really good finale. I kinda feel like this is how a finale should be. Build the whole season and resolve most all subplots in one explosive, crazy assed episode. The only problem is that usually most seasons that do that, have episodes that are, more often than not, lackluster. This season suffered from that.
PLUS-SIDE? Even the lackluster episodes were entertaining. Which means they've got a GREAT format to build on next season.
The show is back this week. Thought the arc stuff was good, even if the case of the week was tepid. Glad to have it back. I'd consider it one of my favorite comic-book shows if it remotely resembled the comic.

BY itself, it's pretty good though.

Heads will eventually need to be shotgunned.

Well done. Looking forward to the next season!
