Help with 70's 80's Kids Show

Hi everybody,
Does anyone remember a kids show where one of the main characters would pull out a tiny silver movie theater and drop a coin in it and then a cartoon would play? The screen/ movie theater was the size of the dude's hand. I think it is from the late 70's early 80's. It was live action. It came up in conversation with a friend and neither of us could remember although I sort of remember seeing it. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows.

I know it wasn't cable because we didn't have cable. I would imagine it was PBS but I can't be sure.

I don't think it's pee wee but I could be wrong. I also thought it could be Reading Rainbow I was thinking of...maybe some random segment. Ah well...it will probably hit me when I least expect it.

That was The Great Space Coaster. Goriddle would ask Roy to watch a movie and he'd pull the little device out of his pocket and "show" a cartoon, usually Italian "La Linea" cartoons (the guy who was just a curvy line and bad things would happen to him) but sometimes also clips from longer cartoon movies like Really Rosie.

I got a kick out of watching the commercials too(Sweet Pickles Bus!!).

About the 12:20 mark for the portable movie theater. I vaguely remember this show. I was 3 when it started. I definitely remember the opening music.

The opening music is the only thing I remember. The minute I saw the the show title, I had it stuck in my head.
