    Good to see you!
I have been championing Archie the last few years, and I really think that they have done a great job with the property the last 5 years or so. The “Married Life” Archie magazine has been a lot of fun, and I like the two stories per issue, one where he marries Betty and one where he married Veronica. Lots of fun soap opera stuff and well worth the money. Hopefully the whole thing gets put into trades when they wrap it up.
I’m also a HUGE fan of the “Afterlife With Archie” series. This could have been a massive failure, but they have done it right. It feels like a horror movie, and they give the Archie characters a level of depth that works, filling in backgrounds, taking bits and pieces from other stories and treating it all straight, not going for being goofy or over-the-top with the horror.
I also pick up the digests, since you get a trade paperback worth of stories for a VERY cheap price. Just nice sit-com reading. Nothing brilliant, but entertaining. With my local library, I am reading the Archie Archives, which reprint the early stuff in order. It’s fun to see how everything started, but I am really not seeing why THIS teen humor series lasted when others didn’t…I need to dig into that, I guess.
  • I also enjoy The Married Life. Sad it's ending with #37.

Lots of the older Archie stuff is in the public domain now. So you can legally download scans of them from http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/. They are listed under MLJ. It is neat to see how little has changed since decades ago.

As far as Archie,at least 3 times a year I will buy one of the digests. They are perfect of for bathroom reading. Sit down read a short story and get your business done.

No idea if he posts here anymore but the host of http://riverdalepodcast.com/ does this great weekly Archie comics based show. It is a great show.
