Short survey on comic book buying habits.

Hi there,

As an academic and a massive comics fan (mainly big two but also some stuff like Pilgrim, Saga etc), I'm undertaking academic research in Comics buying habits - both digital and paper as I'm investigating how digital goods are changing habits.

Everyone who responses can win (via random draw):

1* £100/$175 Amazon voucher (or similar local equal if amazon not available)
4 * £50/$85 Amazon voucher
20 * £10/$15 Amazon voucher
1 * mystery price of a comics related item (not Team America 22 or similar... although I could maybe find Team America 22 if someone wanted it but I can't promise Sonic Disruptors 8-12)

The survey takes 5-10 minutes. It includes some demographic questions, as well as some questions about digital and physical comics (don't worry if you only read one type as you don't need to answer questions about other type!). Obviously your personal information is never revealed or shared.

survey can be found at:

Happy to answer any questions here or drop me an email via my contact details on survey.

Best,

Charles

Done and done! Also, I chose "Afghanistan" because it was first in alphabetical order, hope that's okay.

PLEASE get back to us with results...I'd love to talk about what you find out. I used to be very much a paper only, but digital has become my preferred method, simply because I don't have to worry about storage space...and back issue comics are plummeting in value.

Storage space and weight are the biggest factors to consider with digital. I JUST moved into a 3rd story apartment and I couldn't stop thinking, "This would be SO much easier if I just had to move ONE tablet rather than BOXES of books."

I suppose once I get a house then I can build up the physical collection, but right now, just four longboxes and all of my trades (probably another 3 longboxes worth if they were stored that way) AND all of the novels I own....that's too much. And that's not even close to the collection size of the vast majority of people on this forum.

I see myself utilizing the ebay thread of this forum in the near future....
