Looking forward to posting some of my work on this thread. Thought I'd start with these three, given the level of interest in the upcoming movie. Hope you like!
Also, I loved this to the On Topic thread, because that feels like the right place for it. But if you would rather it in Off Topic let me know and I can move it back.
Love that Flash cover by Templeton! I always thought he was an underappreciated artist when he worked for the Big Two, and I especially loved his Flash covers for the short time he was doing them.
Every year I do a theme for my sketchbook - one year it was Legionnaires, one year it was Elektra - this year it's Jungle Babes. Got this one from Mr. Buzz at SDCC this past weekend:
Also got this original page from a Honey West comic inked by Steve Bryant:
And since we can post our own stuff...here's some recent sketches (I try and do one-a-day at my desk during lunch):
Infectious Lass from Legion of Substitute Heroes
Jailbait from Thugs! (the book I co-create with Flint Lockjaw)
LOLA XOXO - relatively new book that just floored me. Really good'un. Still...horribly inappropriate apocalyptic wear. :)
Mr. Hex. (No, I don't just draw goils...although they are more fun! :) )
American Dream - I actually really like how this one came out...
If you want to get in on my weekday insanity - hop over to facebook, type in "Studio Fugazi" (if you see me doing my Rob Granito impersonation, you're in the right place), and give the page a Like. Not only do you get near daily sketches, you get to read Barbrabarian (my webcomic) a day before the rest of the world. Anything more? You'd have to pay for it. :)
I haven't purchased much original art in the last few years but here are a bunch from around 2007....
I commissioned Buzz to do a Rocketeer and Bettie piece....
Adam Hughes with inks by Walden Wong. This is mostly Walden as Adam did an original Wonder Woman piece for the Big Wow! convention a few years back but all the inkers printed out a blue line version to work on....
A piece I got from Stan Sakai at SDCC this year. My two favorite characters in one image. Perfect.
And my annual Usagi Yojimbo "supporting characters" commission that I get every year from Stan as well. I have seven so far, with the seventh being the cutpurse Kitsune.
Last year DC comics ran a competition where they invited aspiring artists to submit a page to the Harley Quinn comic. This is my entry. I didn't win, but it was a fun challenge.
Ensign Marianne Meredith Merry, from the forthcoming webcomic Red Skirts. I am not the artist on this comic, but the wordsmith and letterer. This is a pretty good take on her, though. Science before all other things.
Get in on the fun - the first page of the first story arc goes up one week from today!
I started this in clip studio paint, and mucked around with it in Photoshop Cs3. It's part of this page for a comic I'm writing and drawing called "Emmissaries".
