By the way, what did you think of the Deaths Head/Deaths Head II team-up issue from a few months back?

I absolutely loved it! My co-writer Darren and I did have to do some script re-writes because of it though (we started work on this at the beginning of the year!) as we want to keep stuff as in-continuity as we can, and there were a fair few overlapping plot points!
Loved Nick Roche's art for that issue and have been unsucsessful in trying to get him to sell me one of his pages!

I thought it was absolutely amazing. I love time travel, and I love Death's Head interacting with his future self, while also showing they are two distinct beings. Snarktacular.

It might have also helped that I re-read a bunch of Death's Head stuff on my iPad before reading that issue.

I'll also say, it might be my second-fave Death's Head story (if not tied for first). The first?

Ah yes, that What If? issue is fantastic...
I'm not sure i could rank them, but i throw "The Body in Question" graphic novel and his first appearance in Transformers Uk #113 in there. It be be sacrilege to say so, but I do love the first Deaths Head II mini series as well (hey, I was 12 when I first read it).

I went on ebay and bought that mini-series.

I also went out of my way to get Deaths Head II Gold, just because the original DH personality overrides minion for a bit.

DhII Gold was also great, such a shame it was never finished... i believe issue 2 was scripted... A friend of mine recently got hold of a european trade of Dark Guard, which featured all four issues lf that series, plus a load of pencilled pages from subsequent issues (gorgeous early Carlos Pacheco work) that were never published

Someone at Marvel must love DH as much as we do.

He fought/teamed up with Iron Man, the Superior Spider- Man, himself, and more recently, a Nova/X-Men/Whoever team-up that I haven't read yet. I think he captured Cyclops or something in the previews.
