Who I think should get in this year:
Frank Robbins — Yeah, most comic book fans only know him from his superhero work, and the majority aren't fans of it. But Robbins has been a big influence on a ton of comic book artists, including Bruce Timm and Darwyn Cooke. He deserves to be in.
Bob Powell — One of the better artists of his generation, and he worked on a lot of high-profile projects.
Denis Kitchen — He's contributed to the comics medium in so many important ways.
Frank Miller — Do I really need to explain? For better or worse, he changed the industry. And because of his health issues, I think he'll get the nod sooner rather than later.
It's hard to say how the vote will go, though. I'll be interested to see if Byrne and/or Claremont get in. Not that they don't deserve to be in, but I'd like to see some of the older gang to get in first.
