Power Records!

Who here loved those Marvel and DC Power Records? I was listening to the Spidey during the Silver Age and heard the guys talk about the Man-Wolf Power Record. I loved that one. I listened and read that one and the Man From Krypton at least a hundred times. My library had these and my brother and I check them out all the time.

I loved the artwork so much that when I found the some of the pages for the Man From Krypton I had to buy them.

I purchased them from Dick Giordano and was lucky to get the three pages below.

Never had the pleasure listening to any of those Marvel and DC Power Records. Is there a (digital) way to do so?

I had the Spider-Man with the Manwolf, plus a Superman one (which I still have) and a Space 1999 one where they met Moses.

I had the Spider-Man / Man-Wolf and Captain America and the Falcon / Phoenix. Picked up an album collection of sorts with just the audio for several of these that I found at a used record store. But it's boxed up somewhere - along with my turntable...

I had a couple Batman ones. I also had an Incredible Hulk one with Rhino (Rhino!) and the Abomination.

However, I guess "had" was still appropriate since the Man-Bat book is missing the record and there are two others that are not present and accounted for - a Batman/Joker book and record and the aforementioned Incredible Hulk book and record. Still, it's enough to make me wish I had a record player.

I must have owned at least 10 or more of them as a kid. With the Man-thing and Captain America ones being my favorites. I know years ago someone had scanned teh comics and made a video using the scans plus the audio from the records. They use to be up on youtube.

Yesturday I found a dvd with about 20 of the power record videos I mentioned in my last post. When I get broadband net at teh end of the month I will upload all of them up to Youtube. And then post links in this thread.

I had tons of them. Spiderman, FF, Superman, Captain America, Batman. All the same voices on the different records...I can still hear snippets play back in my brain sometimes ("No, Kal-El, let ME do what I've been trained for! You've nowhere to run, you Kandorian scum!").
