I have a question about the Red Circle app. If I subscribed today, would I only get the current chapter of the current "New Crusaders" book, plus the archives of the classic books, and would still need to buy the previous chapters of "New Crusaders"? Or are all the previous "New Crusaders" books available to me if I subscribe?
If you subscribe, you get everything. It's a crazy good deal, and a pretty great business model. So, yeah, check it out. I read them on my laptop through the "desktop app," it works really well.
Can't wait to hear your show. I read the Kevin Keller trade recently and it was the most fun I've had in a long time.
There's something really special about how Dan Parent writes Kevin. There's something really genuine about it. There's a second trade coming out in October, collecting the first four issues of the ongoing series.
Episode #23 is up! Kevin Keller #4 is the book of the week. Other topics include Archie staffers on podcasts, new releases, and more. Thanks for checking out the show folks!
I've been dipping into the Archie books for the past few years (the "New look" stories brought me back) and I love that they are doing new things with the characters. The Married Life series is very well done, and recent stories in Archie have been entertaining. I also like the relationship they are testing with Valerie, and would like to see more of that, believe it or not. And the "Occupy" story was much better than it had any right to be.
I'll have to check out your podcast. Thanks for letting us know!

The "Occupy Riverdale" was a lot of fun. Giselle is on the next issue of Archie, and will be back, with Alex Segura, for Archie 639 as well. I hope that you check out the podcast and please let me know what you think.
Episode #24 is up! This week's pick is Betty and Veronica #261. Also, the Betty and Veronica art book, Reversedale (in Archie 636), and Sonic the Hedgehog are discussed. Thanks for listening to the show!

Been watching an hour or two of Archie's Weird Mysteries cartoon every day. What a fun show and the dvd set of the complete series is super cheap. Now I need to track down the DTV animated film that is a kind of sequel to this series.
It definitely gives you a good concept of the basic characters. I think that it would be, and probably has been, a great introduction to Riverdale for lots of kids. The New Archies was a big part of my becoming aware of Archie and comics in general. Hopefully this new Sabrina series will be helpful in the same way.

There is a new Sabrina series? Is it live action or animated? I really enjoyed the Sabrina sitcom, but I also have had a crush on Melissa Joan Hart for years.
There's an animated series that's currently in production. Apparently some footage was shown at SDCC, but Archie fandom is too polite to video that kind of thing and pass it around online. It's supposed to premiere next year. I didn't watch the Sabrina sitcom very much, I'm assuming that it hasn't aged well, but I could be wrong.

Smallville is the longest running, with ten seasons, right? Is Sabrina available online in any legit way? I don't recall ever seeing it on dvd.
Yeah Smallville is the longest. Every season of Sabrina ,live action, has hit DVD. And The Hub is airing reruns of it. One night a week they air it for a few hours.
Episode #28 is ready for you! This week's book of the week is Mega Man #17. Also discussed is Nancy Silberkleit's new anti-bullying comic, and Andrew Wheeler's article about diversity is comics over at Comics Alliance. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

I like Weird Mysteries well enough, though I didn't make it through the whole series.

Here's an article from last year about the animated series, it's got some really early production art.
