    That's what I said.

Except that it's going to backfire because he's going to get a bunch of crap comics. Of course, now that he's unemployed, it's still free comics lol.

I don't think anyone can find a comic bad enough. And free comics are free comics.
And you have never seen what I dredge up from quarter bins.

I'm interested in some of the 25center crap you've gotten. One of my LCS' has a huge section of 50centers and I've found some crap in there but I know you've been collecting longer than I have and I'm sure you've found worse stuff then I have.

Free comics are free comics but you are doing thing for the show so I see no foul there.

Wow, I really think that's the first time I've ever typed out the word foul. Go me!

What about some of those Christian Archie comics? Even people I know that are Christian realize how horrible those comics are.

You took one of my ideas. I was gonna keep an eye out for one of those on the cheap.

    Two Words:

    Bluewater Productions
Never read any because they look like they would be bad from the blurbs I've read from Comic Shop New Weekly (I think that's the place anyways) That's the pub that prints a lot of those bio/political comics right?

Over the years I have amassed a big collection of them. Back in the mid 80s when most of my friends got outta comics they would come over to my house and offer to sell me their comics cheap. Usually it was a huge box of comics for 5 bucks. And most of the time half of that box was the various Archie Christian comics.

I rarely see the Archie Christian comics in comic shops. Usually I find copies at flea markets and junk shops. But almost every copy I find is in really bad shape.

Those Spire Christian Comics are too easy of a target, I think. The ones Al Hartley was more directly involved with are actually alright artistically, even if they aren't especially subtle with their message. The Johnny Cash bio comic they put out was surprisingly good (and Al drew a shockingly attractive June Carter Cash).

I have been looking for a copy of the Cash comic for a few years now. But never seem to find one for a decent price.

Oops. I guess it's too late to submit a name suggestion.
Had I known about this earlier, "Yike! - the Mike" would have been my suggestion.

Oh well. I'll keep a lookout for über-crap, for I can't think of anything in my current collection that fits that bill (other than maybe "Z", but I'm not parting with that one).

I don't think anyone wants to spend the money on shipping to send you free comics that you will more than likely be able to sit through. For me there was only one comic I could never read and it was the Batman comic that was more of a novel (it had like one two small planes pre page and the rest of the page was all words. I also think the art was digital). Can't recall who wrote it or the number but I want to say it was Morrison,I know it was in the 600s,I think early 600s. I maybe made it 2 pages in and said "I can't take the text." And I'm sure most comic readers have put down very few issues due to it being shit. How many do you think you've put down over the years due to it being crap?

Well I got a stack of truly bad comics to send you Mike. But it will have to wait till next month. I spent most of my spare cash on my trip to FCBD this month.

40ish (since we dont have the raw numbers) over 20 years is such a small % assuming you read over a 1000 issues which I'm guessing you have. Also you have two weeks to read it so you could just read a few pages a day and never lose. The house deff has a massive advantage. These are just some of the reasons I think some of us aren't sending in any. I'm sure there will be people who will but I won't since odds are so against my favor.

    Then what would you suggest?

There is no reading a couple pages a day. Two weeks gives me enough time to read it in one sitting, write about it and get it on the show in a timely fashion. It's not like I read comics every day.
And if you don't like it, don't participate. And clearly you are not speaking for everyone.
