Milestone's take on the Spider-Man archetype, Static Shock, proved popular enough to headline his own cartoon series, making him far and away the line's most visible hero. Milestone was less of a DC imprint and more like a separate company publishing through DC Comics, running from 1993 till 1996 with a crossover with the mainstream DCU in the "Worlds Collide" event.
This possible confirmation (albeit thin) of Jaden Smith being cast as Static Shock. Anyone here a fan of Static?
