The six-episode event series debuts on FOX in a special two-night event beginning Sunday Jan 24, following the NFC Championship, and continues with its time period premiere on Monday Jan 25 at 8pm.

According to Fox, the six-episode event series will encompass a mixture of stand-alone episodes and those that further the original show’s seminal mythology.

Haven't finished the second episode yet, but the last 20 minutes of the premiere might be the worst television I have ever watched. Like, hilariously bad. They tossed away 10 years of continuity, threw together nonsense and called it a conspiracy, filled it in with some of the worst dialogue I've ever heard (Mulder's 3 minute speech laying out the new conspiracy is something to behold) and then, maybe most egregious, there wasn't even an X-file to investigate.

However, I want to know Mitch Pileggi's secret. That dude hasn't aged in 20 years.
