Evening everyone and Happy Halloween!
Anyone have any experience purchasing an unslabbed autographed book from Stan Lee's official website, or any other reputable official website? Reason being I wanted to have an autographed book that I purchased signed by Stan sent into CGC to hopefully receive their SS rating. I thought that since it was a 100% guaranteed authorized signature from Stan, and that since it is his official website the signature would be accepted as credible. It even comes with documentation saying it is legit. I am reading now after the purchase that I need a CGC Representative present to witness the signing to get the SS grading. I completely understand and 100% agree with their policy to eliminate crooks and forged books. I won't ever sell this book, but I really wanted to get the signature series rating for my own personal collection. Should have done my homework I know, but just seeing if someone has come across this type of problem before and what the outcome was.
