The Christmas issue of the British Medical Journal is always an eclectic edition with a variety of strange and seasonal articles. This year's cover image is taken from the collection of a GP (now retired) who used to keep over 300 action figures of various doctors in a glass cabinet in his office where they were much admired by children and "men of a certain age".
