I think we can thank Mort Weisinger’s ego for the continuation of Aquaman and Green Arrow through the 1950s. Mort “co-created” both characters, and I believe that’s the only reason he made sure they stuck around.
@Adam_Murdough, regarding the Thunderbolts collections, the Classic Thunderbolts volume 2 is a new printing. They actually have been releasing them in series order (Classic Thunderbolts volumes 1-3, Hawkeye & the Thunderbolts volumes 1-2) which is following the series run nicely.
My assumption is that Classic v2 must be out of print or something, so they did a new one. But that's just a guess on my part. Regardless, I've been buying them and loving having this series easily accessible on my bookshelf.
At risk of being pigeonholed as a shameless fanboy, the recurring sarcasm from @wildpigcomics in this episode regarding the comments on ep 1600 was hilarious.. especially the final "Read Saga." remark.. I laughed out loud.

I uttered a rather loud “ha!” myself. Can't win for offering honest criticism, can’t win for offering honest praise.
Maybe I'm tired of hearing about Saga because I live in Saga City, Japan. But anyway, good episode guys! I don't think I added anything that I hadn't had on my list (THIS TIME), but I loved that last Muddle-the-Murd segment! It's so amazing how Murd pulls answers out of the ether sometimes.

Pretty sure it'll turn out to be these guys:
[Edit: And @Pants, it's pronounced Otto BEN-der, as in back issue bin.
"What...who are...? This is all wrong..."
My second idea would be Alan Scott, followed shortly thereafter by the JSA.
