*two* people it seems :) If you haven't read "Space Chronicles: Facing the Ultimate Frontier" by Neil deGrasse Tyson I highly recommend it. (and anything he writes)
It's about time someone decided to have a serious go at this, especially considering something like a reasonably sized nickle-iron asteroid could provide us more iron that we have ever mined on Earth. We really need someone to invest in better ground-to-orbital transport methods, things like space guns and space elevators (they are real things). NASA and the other space agencies could have had better transport years ago if they thought beyond the use for rockets to other potential forms of travel.
