Well, as I said previously, I loved the Dr. Strange movie. It furthered the MCU story and made me look forward to the next movies. Yeah, I don't about Chris telling his son that Mordo is gonna be a bad guy. I thought it was a bit of a weird thing to do. Sure, he can tell his son anything he wants, but...well, I guess it was something like my dad telling me to stand up and cheer Giant Willie Mays because of his accomplishments even though I was a Dodger fan. Maybe he thought it was a sort of teaching moment or something? As for the difference between Dr. Strange and GotG, I have a feeling that despite the GotG trailer's humor, there's going to be serious moments in the movie to advance the plot toward Infinity War.
