I also just learned that while it was previously suggested that Marvel Graphic Novel #4 (The New Mutants) was one of the free offerings in last week's Marvel digital code titles, it turned out to only be The New Mutants (vol.1) #1. Hardly the same.

    Status remains lame.

    edited April 2017
Today is April 1, so take this as you will. I saw Brian Michael Bendis retweet someone (presumably at WonderCon) that said Marvel has heard the complaints and will be bringing back the digital codes as they were.

I just did a quick Google search and io9 and Bleeding Cool are reporting it is true (both posts made on 3/31).

I read that if you email them bitching about it, they will buckle, but it's on a case by case basis

I saw a lot of comments about that as well, but it appears that they blinked first and are now kowtowing to the consumers and bringing the whole program back. Good news for us.

So according to this report, all Marvel print titles that include a redeem code will now not only unlock that issue’s digital copy (as before), but will also add an additional digital comic to your library.
    New York, NY—March 31, 2017—

Beginning the week of May 3rd, accompanying the release of SECRET EMPIRE #1, all Marvel digital redeem codes, only available within your local comic shop, will unlock a FREE digital copy along with one additional BONUS DIGITAL COMIC on the Marvel Comics app for iOS and Android devices at no extra cost!

“We heard the message loud and clear on Digital same issue codes,” said David Gabriel, SVP Sales & Marketing. “We heard how folks across the world were using them, relying on them, loving them. We are always looking to do what’s best for fans and the comics industry so we’re pleased to make this program even better. Now, print comics readers will receive a code for the issue they purchased, and also an additional bonus comic giving customers even more value for their purchase.

Fans will be updated weekly with consistent in-print and social messaging so they know what additional BONUS DIGITAL COMICS will be made available along with the FREE DIGIAL COPY that week.
So Marvel is clearly willing to adjust their trajectory. Now if we can just get them to hire better editors, better artists, publish fewer titles, slow down the relaunches, make line-wide events less frequent, stop screwing with their legacy characters, ratchet back the decompressed "writing for the trade", stop launching titles at $4.99, lower cover prices across the board by $1, then me and Marvel will be all good...

    LOL

Last year, FOX Television had a put-pilot commitment out there for an untitled X-Men project, presumably it is New Mutants. No word on its progress, but I am guessing it's related.

I just learned that the new show is called "Gifted"

    And here's the trailer:
