Legendary British Comic Artist Leo Baxendale Has Passed Away

While most American comic fans probably don't know his name, Baxendale was an extremely influential cartoonist and humorist. I've been trying to think of an American equivalent, and the best I can come up with is a cross between Don Martin and John Stanley. Though not really as strong an artist as either of them, his work had an energetic charm that was appealing. Most importantly though, he knew how to make kids laugh.
